Spoken by the Konkani people, Konkani is one of the 22 languages in the 8th schedule of the Indian Constitution, and the official language of the Indian state of Goa. Although Devanagari is the official script, Konkani can also be written in Kannada, Roman, Malayalam and Arabic scripts as well.
