Dari
Native speakers of Dari usually refer to their language as Farsi although the government of Afghanistan promotes the use of Dari for political reasons. Alongside other Iranian languages, Dari is member of the Indo-European language group, which also includes other branches such as Celtic, Germanic, Balto-Slavic and Indo-Aryan.
It should not be confused with the Dari of Iran, which is a different language.
