Welsh

Welsh is a Celtic language developed from the Common Brittonic language spoken in Britain, which split into various languages: Welsh, Cornish, Cumbric and Breton. There is no standard form of the language, but Northern and Southern Welsh are the main two dialects.

Although Welsh is a minority language, it has been a compulsory subject at schools since 2000 and was given official status in Wales in 2011, making it the only language in the UK by law. Currently, about 20% of Welsh residents can speak Welsh.

At Geo Language Services, we offer Welsh translations that respect the language’s unique charm and ensure your message connects meaningfully with Welsh speakers.
